A boat-stewardship and rehoming service for owners and families who care about what happens next. It is for the longtime sailor ready to step ashore, the heir unsure what to do, and the owner whose unfinished project needs a new caretaker.
The goal is a responsible next chapter with someone prepared to care for, restore, maintain, and use the boat. Owners retain the choice of whom to trust.
What this site is not
A yacht brokerage, auction, public classified marketplace, or free-boat giveaway. There are no public asking-price listings, bids, or boat-purchase checkouts. We do not promise anyone a boat.
Pass the Helm does not hold transfer deposits, collect vessel-transfer funds, negotiate payments for others, or take a percentage of a transfer.
A second chance does not always mean a free boat.
Some transfers involve legitimate storage, marina, repair, or other obligations. There is no arbitrary dollar ceiling: the owner’s circumstances and the intention to pass on stewardship matter. Any financial arrangements are handled directly by the parties.
If a boat cannot responsibly be restored, our free resources also cover retirement. Free private owner submissions are open. See Aspiring Captains for registration availability and how private automated matching works.
A THOUGHTFUL HANDOVER
A new caretaker. A whole new horizon.
Pass the Helm connects owners and families ready to let go of a boat with people ready to care for it. This is a private stewardship network, not a boat sales site, brokerage, or auction.
